About the Synergy Shares Scholarship

Synergy Credit Union is pleased to invite you to apply for the Synergy Shares Scholarship between May 1 to May 31, if you are a graduating high school student or a mature student. The amount of the scholarship is $1,000 per year awarded annually to a maximum of four (4) years. Two recipients will be chosen each year.

To qualify:
  • You must be an active Synergy Credit Union member.
  • Be a high school graduating student.
  • A student currently enrolled in or about to enroll in a post-secondary program.
  • You must be enrolled/accepted to attend an accredited post-secondary institution on a full-time basis. This can include a degree, diploma or certificate program.
  • You must complete this application in its entirety, including the written submission.

Synergy Credit Union employees and directors, as well as their spouses and children are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

When submitting an application, the applicant agrees to:
  • Granting permission for Synergy Credit Union to publish the winner’s name and/or photograph as it sees fit without remuneration for Synergy’s website, digital banking application, social media accounts, print materials, advertising, in branch use or posters.
  • In giving this consent, the applicant releases Synergy Credit Union, their nominees and designees from any and all liability for any violation of any personal or proprietary right the applicant may have in connection with such sale, reproduction or use. The applicant certifies that he/she is of legal age and consent and have the legal authority to execute this consent and release (if the applicant is not of legal age, the legal guardian must provide consent on the applicant’s behalf). The applicant approves the foregoing and waive any rights in the premises.
  • The applicant understands that this consent is in addition to, and not in substitution for, any other consent, express or implied, which I have given Synergy Credit Union to collect, use and disclose my personal information. This consent may be withdrawn by contacting Synergy Credit Union using the information above.
  • If the applicant withdraws consent, the applicant acknowledges that existing publications will not be withdrawn from circulation.
  • Personal information held by Synergy Credit Union will be retained and destroyed in accordance with Synergy Credit Union’s retention of records policies and privacy legislation.
